Paper craft project no. 317: Enjoy today one layer card

Hello! Here’s a quickie post to remind you that we’re mid-way through the current challenge at Time Out, where we’re CASEing a card made by the super-talented Amy Wanford. For my card, I went all red (!) — it’s my way of trying to get over the winter blues. Even though winter doesn’t officially start until December 23, I’ve been feeling it for the last 3 weeks. I’m not liking the gray days and foggy days at all, and I am missing the sun way too much! And so the cards I’ve been making lately have bright colors :o)

How I CASEd Amy’s card: sentiment (big and small combo), focal image (butterfly instead of a cloud), border (red border with a painterly look)
My twist: non-wintery, bright red colors, and one layer…of course!

The stamps I used are all from STAMPlorations – The grungy splashes and ink blots are from Holiday Artsy and the graphic butterfly and sentiment are from the newly released Trendy Butterflies (it’s a set that stamp club subscribers get for free!)

Let it Snow

Thanks for stopping by!
