There’s a celebration happening over at Time Out! Our teammate Bev gave birth to twin boys two weeks ago and we thought we’d throw a little party for her and her sweet babies! We’ve got an extra challenge called “Double the Joy” and to play, all you need to do is use two of something in your project. Your project doesn’t need to have a baby theme, but we’re sure Bev would be thrilled to see those kinds of projects! This fun challenge ends on September 29 so lots of time to play along, link up, and congratulate Bev :o)
I made a couple of one layer cards to celebrate the special occasion. The one on the left is generic — it fits any occasion, not just for celebrating the arrival of a baby or babies. I stamped the daisy flower (from Bloom Sketches) on either side of my card base and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers + Faber-Castell white PITT artist pen to highlight the center of the daisies. I stamped the sentiment (from Sentiment Builders: Happy and Sentiment Builders: Thank You) in Memento tuxedo black and VersaMagic aegean blue chalk ink. I finished the card by creating a border with a black marker. On the second card, I printed out the teddy bears (which I had drawn — they’ll be actual stamps soon, btw) and the sentiment on card stock and then colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I wanted to give the bears a baby blue color; unfortunately, I’m sorely lacking in blue Spectrum Noir markers! So I settled for green teddy bears :o) Hope you’ll stop by the Time Out blog and join in on the celebration!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
