Paper craft project no. 181: Thankful for your friendship

2014-04-29 CAS Thankful for your friendship TCCCB
It’s a new week with a new challenge at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog. This week, the theme is “steampunk” and we’ve got 2 sponsors: Bugaboo Stamps and Sweet ‘n Sassy. For my project, I used the Autumn Collage digi stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy — printed on card stock, colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and then fussy cut. I matted it on 2 layers of textured card stock from DCWV. I added jute twine and a bottlecap embellishment I made — I printed out one of the inchie butterflies I designed (available in my Etsy shop), glued it in a flat bottlecap, and sealed with an epoxy dome. I punched a hole on top for the split ring and then looped it in the jute twine. I finished my card by stamping my sentiment from STAMPlorations (“Thankful, Grateful” and “SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Thank You“) So where’s the “steampunk” in my project? Since I’m not really into steampunk and I didn’t have any gears or something similar as embellishments, I thought perhaps the flat bottlecap could be a substitute. The outer edges resemble spokes — at least to me :o) Do check out the projects my teammates created!

I’m entering my card to the following challenges: CRAFT Challenge #257 – Make Your Own Embellishment (I made my own bottlecap embellishment) and Crafting by Designs – May Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day :o)

  1. Beautiful – the embellishment you’ve created is so pretty and perfect with that collage digi.

Thanks for joining us at the CRAFT Challenge.
