Paper craft project no. 170: Happy happy happy birthday one layer card

2014-04-08 OLC Happy birthday TO

It’s time for challenge #3 at Time Out Challenges! And this time around, we’re doing a theme challenge — Happy Birthday. There’s an optional twist: masculine birthday, so make your project for a dude! Our sponsor is Uniko Studio, and the lovely Bev (Uniko Studio owner) is offering 2 prizes — how cool is that? The winner (voted by the DT) will receive a stamp set and coordinating dies and gets to be guest designer in a future challenge. Then for those who submit their projects with the optional twist, 1 will be randomly chosen to win a £15 gift voucher. I hope you’ll check out the blog and see what my fellow DTs created for the challenge! Would love to have you join us — the challenge is open for two weeks!

As for me, I went with a a one layer birthday card minus the optional twist — although when I showed it to DH, he said it can be given to a guy too. Not sure about that since I went to town on this one and made those cupcakes not only colorful but glittery too. (Hey, I’m allowed artistic license on food images!) I used an Imaginisce cupcake stamp, which I stamped several times across the bottom (with the help of masking) and colored with Distress and Memento markers. I stamped the sentiment around the card and glammed up my cupcakes with Diamond stickles. Shiny, shimmery delicious-ity, wouldn’t you agree? :-)

Thanks for stopping by!
