CAS Card No. 44: May your days be merry

2013-08-26 CAS May your days be merry
This is one of the fastest cards I’ve made — took about 9 minutes to put it all together this morning — and it fits two card challenges: Keep It Simple!  #21: Christmas in August challenge and Less is More Week #134: Recipe Washi Tape challenge. I am also entering this card to the Holiday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

For the washi tape, I used one I’ve had for years from K&Company. For the main image, I used one from the Christmas ATC Collection (have no idea what company made it — it’s one of those things that’s been in my stash for a long time). I aged it a little by sponging a little bit of distress inks — antique linen and vintage photo — before adhering it to the card base. Next, using a piece of paper towel, I covered the upper part of the card and sponged vintage photo distress ink on the bottom. For the sentiment, I used one from the “Merry” set that I designed for my STAMPlorations line of stamps (available on the STAMPlorations website and my Etsy shop beginning September). I finished off the card by affixing a Christmas bird from K&Company (Tim Coffey Christmas Birds Layered Accents).

Stamps: sentiment (STAMPlorations)
Inks: tuxedo black (Tsukineko); antique linen, vintage photo (Tim Holtz Distress inks)
Other: washi/paper tape, layered bird accent (K&Company); Christmas ATC collection
