One Layer Card No. 30: Happy birthday, sis

2013-08-07 One Layer Card Happy birthday sis

A2 card using masking, repetition, second-generation stamping, layer stamping, and distressing techniques.

Stamps: sentiment (Stampabilities); alpha pictures (TPC Studio); ruler, stitches, spool round label (Stampers Anonymous)
Inks: jet black, sienna (Ranger Archival inks); vintage photo (Tim Holtz Distress ink)

Here are the steps for creating this one layer card:

1. Stamp the alpha picture stamps to spell “SIS” in sienna ink.

2. Create a mask for the alpha pictures then stamp ruler on bottom area in vintage photo distress ink.

3. Remove mask. Stamp sentiment.

4. Stamp spool round label several times on card base.

5. Stamp stitches.

6. Distress the edges by sponging in vintage photo distress ink.

I created this card with the help of the Go-To Sketch by Betsy Veldman. Here’s the sketch:

This is for the Birthday Sketch Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. The challenge is to create a card based on the sketch that uses ALL STAMPS or NO STAMPS at all.
