2013-08-04 One Layer Card I love you

A2 card using blending, distressing, masking, and layer stamping techniques.

Stamps: flower silhouette (Inkadinkado); sentiment (Stampabilities); background script (OTC)
Inks: jet black, rose madder, coffee (Ranger Archival inks); tattered rose, broken china (Tim Holtz Distress inks)
Other: die cut label/tag for masking (Sizzix)

Here are the steps for creating this one layer card:

1. Die cut a tag/label from a post-it note to use as mask. Place the negative over card base and sponge the area with tattered rose distress ink using an ink blending tool.

2. Stamp script in rose madder ink.

3. Remove negative and stamp flower silhouette.

4. Mask the shaded tag/label area (use the die cut positive) and mask upper area of card.

5. Sponge bottom area of the card with broken china distress ink using an ink blending tool.

6. Stamp script in coffee ink.

7. Remove mask and stamp sentiment.
