One Layer Card No. 15: Happy birthday – Celebrate

2013-07-23 One Layer Card Happy birthday celebrate

A2 card using masking, blending, direct stamping, doodling, and stenciling techniques.

Stamps: cupcakes, sentiments (Fiskars)
Inks: deep purple, emerald green, chrome yellow, sienna, jet black (Ranger Archival inks); razzberry, picante, surf, mango tango (ColorBox Classic Pigment Cat’s Eyes)
Other supplies: pastel chalks (Pebbles Inc.), black archival ink pen (Sakura Micron), mini hexagons stencil (The Crafter’s Workshop), embossing ink pad (Ranger)

I thought I’d try to create another one layer card for both the  CAS(e) this Sketch #37 challenge and Birthday Card Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.

Steps for creating this one layer card:

1. Stamp cupcakes, using masks to create overlapping cupcakes.

2. Place hexagon stencil over the base of the card where sentiment will be stamped. Apply embossing ink over hexagon shapes before applying pastel chalks. The embossing ink helps keep the chalks stick to the paper. Blend.

3. Stamp sentiments.

4. Free draw hexagon lines and border with fine point black pen.
