2013-07-16 One Layer Card Hello

A2 card using masking, blending, edge sponging, distressing, and spritzing techniques.

Stamps: sentiment (Heidi Grace), flowers (Hero Arts)
Inks: wild honey, barn door, dusty concord (Tim Holtz Distress inks); pale ochre, jet black (Ranger Archival inks)
For masking: top note die cut positive and negative (Sizzix)

Steps for creating this one layer card:

1. Place and secure top note die cut negative on top of card base.

2. Using a foam applicator, apply wild honey distress ink on the bottom part, followed by the barn door distress ink, and finally the dusty concord distress ink.

3. Spritz a bit of water over the area, blotting some with a paper towel. Dry with a heat gun.

4. Apply jet black ink on silhouette flower stamp and stamp onto card. Do the same with the sentiment.

5. Remove the top note die negative and place the top note die cut (positive) over the image.

6. Using a foam applicator, apply wild honey and pale ochre on all sides of the card.
